The Freedonia Group

The U.S. hardscaping product market is projected to grow 5.4% annually through 2023, according to a new study from The Freedonia Group. Additionally, The Freedonia Group projects sales of concrete used in hardscaping applications are forecast to grow 5.6% per year through 2023 to $2.0 billion.

Gains in the hardscaping product market will primarily arise from growing incorporation by consumers of outdoor living trends in landscaping, increasing interest in permeable pavers, and increasing sales of higher value products, such as pavers that feature a modern look.

Sales of concrete used in hardscaping applications are forecast to grow to $2.0 billion by 2023 and account for 67% of demand gains in the hardscaping product market in the next four years. Gains in residential construction and renovation activities will continue to support the hardscaping market, according to Cleveland-based research organization The Freedonia Group.

The full study, Hardscaping Products, is available for $3,900 from The Freedonia Group.
