Door openings need to be accurate in three dimensions—starting with the framing. So rather than having thedoor installed wrong and having to reach for the recip saw and sledgehammer, or trying to undercut a wall plate and tweak the opening into some semblance of symmetry after drywall, spare your finish crew the struggle and make plumb, square, and flat door openings one of your quality checks before signing off on your framing crew’s work.
