Fortress says its vertical-cable-rail system is the first panelized cable-rail system in the industry. Prefabricated sections, made from 316 marine-grade stainless steel cable and components, can be used with wood, composite, vinyl, or Fortress iron posts. Rails and reinforcement channels are made from cold-rolled steel with a G-60 zinc coating. Cable-rail sections come in 6- and 8-foot lengths and in heights of 34 and 40 inches; angled stair panels in both heights also are available. Rail sections can be cut in the field.
