M&L Construction of Sedalia, Mo., will pay a $9,548 civil penalty to settle allegations it violated the government's lead-paint rules, the Environmental Protection Agency announced today. M&L, a fire and water restoration specialist, was accused of failing to become certified under the Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting rule.
