Blades That Breakaway

With DeWALT's new BREAKAWAY™ Reciprocating Saw Blades you get two blades in one. Designed to break at a common wear-point, the spent part can be discarded and then the unused portion can be loaded back into the tool for use. These blades come in 6” (DWABK461418) which breaks into 4” and a 9” (DWABK491418) which breaks into a 6”. The blades have a thick kerf approx. 0.042”, which the manufacturer says improves durability. Additionally, each blade has a 14/18 TPI variable tooth pattern for common metal cutting applications that include: glavanized pipe, copper pipe, conduit, metal studs, and EMT. A 3-pack of 6" will sell for $8.99 and of 9" will sell for $9.99. Other packaging configurations will also be available. They'll be available this Spring. Check out DeWALT for more information.
