Veteran builder Tim Uhler remembers when framing nailers were bigger and much heavier. He and his Seattle area crew took 7 lightweight plastic-collation stick nailers to the job site for real-world evaluation. All of these latest models weighed under 8 pounds (without nails). The crew tested speed, percentage of nails driven flush, balance, and other performance factors. Different specs and features were also compared.
