The newest addition to Milwaukee Tool’s M12 FUEL cordless tool platform, the M12 FUEL Oscillating Multi-Tool, is designed to provide fast cuts, low full-tool vibration, and tool-free blade change capabilities for plunge and rip cuts, nail and grout removal, and bolt cutting applications.
Like all M12 system tools, the Oscillating Multi-Tool includes Milwaukee Tool’s POWERSTATE Brushless Motor and REDLINK PLUS intelligence hardware and software built in. The tool performs at up to 10,000 to 20,000 oscillations per minute, and features an oscillation angle of 3.9 degrees, as well as dampening technology that reduces vibration throughout the entire tool.
When equipped with a M12 RedLithium XC4.0 battery, the tool is able to perform up to 54 1- or 2-inch cuts in oak or 65 1- or 2-inch cuts in pine on a single charge. Additional features include a 12-setting speed dial and an integrated LED visibility light.
The M12 Oscillating Multi-Tool is set to launch in September. The tool kit retails for $219, and includes the tool, one 12M RedLithium XC4.0 battery, an M12 charger, a Universal Fit OPEN-LOK Oscillating Multi-Tool wood blade, a Multi-Tool sanding pad, 60-, 80-, 120-, and 240-grit sandpaper, and a lunchbox carrying bag. The bare tool retails for $149.
