The Stabila LAR 350 rotary laser has a motion control functionality that's the first of its kind. Using a remote, which stores directly on the unit, you can control a number of the laser's functions by simply tilting the remote to the left or the right. A motion control sensor within the remote detects your hand movements and transmits them to the laser. Where this is particularly intriguing is the ability to change the slope on either the X or Y axis up to 5°. Colored LEDs on the laser, by the rotating diode, indicate which axis you're working with. The level has a working range of 2,600 feet, is IP65 rated, and can take a 6-foot fall onto concrete. The video below gives a good illustration of how the remote control works.
