Lowe's continued its ongoing effort to service pros by launching its ProExpress program to deliver building materials straight to contractors who need them. Since April, trucks emblazoned with the company's ProServices logo have made jobsite deliveries from more than 200 stores across the country.
Though the trucks are large enough to deliver plywood and doors, the service has also been used for orders of quick-fix items that may not be worth making the trip to purchase, like smoke detectors to pass inspections or shingles to complete a job before bad weather hits. Trucks may also be dispatched to restock retail shelves with cleaning and maintenance supplies.
“For pros, time is money,” said Mike Horn, vice president of the Lowe's ProServices division. “The ProExpress program allows us to offer our pro customers the ultimate convenience and flexibility by delivering the materials they need, when they need them.”
