The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with One World Technologies has announced the recall of 4.0 Ah 18-volt lithium-ion Ryobi tool batteries after several reports of packs busting into flames on the charger.
The affected batteries were sold in the U.S. and Canada between September and December of 2012 by Home Depot, Home Depot’s website, and other vendors. The packs are green, silver, and black with the words “Ryobi” and “Lithium+18V” in white lettering on the side. They were sold at Home Depot, Home Depot’s website, and other vendors.
