Don't wait until the damage is done
to think about safety and health

Construction accidents strike quickly
and without warning. Other job-related
health problems such as hearing loss or
respiratory damage develop slowly over
time. but both can change a life irrevocably.
And both share this in common:
At some level, they are due to human
error and are preventable.
Unfortunately we often wait until it
is too late before we wake up and pay
attention to safety. We wait until
someone loses part of a finger in a
jointer or until we are half deaf from
noise exposure-a steep price to pay
for safety education.
