Four-wheel-drive system is available on C4500 and C5500 models, Allison transmissions have been recalibrated and are backed by a longer warranty, and a 120,000-psi heat-treated frame is now included on C6500, C7500, and C8500 models. Toyota. The 2005 Tundra flaunts increased horsepower in its 4.7-liter V8 engine. The V8 models now have standard five-speed automatic transmission. The 4.0-liter V6 gained a nearly 30% increase in its horsepower (now 245) and torque (now 282 pounds per foot). The new V8 4x2 regular cab model offers a 2,025-pound payload capacity, and most V8 models have up to a 7,100-pound towing capacity.
