EPA Finalizes Formaldehyde Rule

Working with the California Air Resources Board, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has finalized a rule that goes into effect in one year (July 2017), setting limits on formaldehyde exposure from composite wood products. Until now, California is the only state that has issued existing limits on formaldehyde exposure. The new Federal regulation will set limits that will be applied to wood products produced domestically and imported into the U.S.
