Bowling Green, Ky., is smack-dab between Nashville and Louisville, right off Interstate 65 and not far from I-40. The easy access, he says, attracts industry to his area. By keeping an eye on the job market, Sowders can plan ahead.
“We're fortunate to be in a growth mode,” Sowders says, adding that the introduction of new jobs usually spurs remodeling activity
How? First and foremost, the creation of jobs brings new people to the area, and Sowders has found that people do a lot of remodeling after purchasing a home.
“They want to correct something they see as a defect in their home,” Sowders says, “something that they don't like or that doesn't work for their family.”
