Remodeler Lawrence Murr works on bathroom remodels for many clients who dislike the noise of their existing exhaust fans. "Frequently people don't want to use them, because they remember the old ones that sound like airplanes," Murr says. Because it does no good to install an exhaust fan in a humid bathroom if the homeowner won't use it, Murr offers to upgrade his clients' ventilation system with a Panasonic fan.
"They're much quieter fans, and that seems to be in demand with the clients we deal with," Murr says. "We started using them a year ago, and they've become standard in all our projects."
Panasonic's ventilation fans are designed for quiet, efficient operation. Most models qualify for Energy Star, and the fans and fan/light combinations may even qualify for energy savings rebates.
"We tell clients they cost a bit more, but they're worth it because they're efficient and they're quiet," Murr says.
