Faced with a labor shortage and an uncertain schedule while trying to build a shop during a rainy summer, Tony Blue of Squared Away Contracting decided to prefabricate the walls and roof right on the deck, then lift everything into place with the help of a crane. In this Instagram post, he describes the process and includes a short video of the roof being flown into position. Being able to frame a roof at ground level sounds like a safe and efficient way to build.
