Is your company's "Job Safety and Health—It's The Law" poster looking a little tattered? You're in luck: The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) unveiled a newly updated version on April 29.
The poster, intended to inform employers of their legal obligation to provide a safe workplace, includes updated information regarding the agency's Jan. 1 implementation of its new workplace incident reporting reporting rule. Under that rule, employers must now report every fatality, hospitalization, amputation, and eye loss to OSHA within 24 hours.
The poster also informs employers of their responsibilities to train all workers in a language and vocabulary they can understand, comply with OSHA standards, and post citations at or near the place of an alleged violation.
