Dell offers small businesses an easy way to clear their offices of old desktops and laptops. With the computer company’s Recycling and Asset Recovery Services, small businesses can find out about clearing data from the drives, and then choose to sell the equipment back to Dell, donate it, or recycle it.
For buy-backs, Dell will assess the value of notebooks and desktops and buy back reusable equipment to refurbish. The small business receives a discount toward its next technology purchase. The company must have at least 10 systems to qualify for the value recovery and should contact a Dell sales account manager to set up an evaluation.
With donations, Dell works with National Cristina Foundation to donate outdated IT equipment to local charities. Dell arranges for pick up and refurbishment of the old equipment, and donations are tax deductible.
