Remodeling is excited to announce that its popular Facebook page has been nominated for an industry blogging award from Jackson Design & Remodeling! The JDR Blogger Awards, now in its fourth year, was developed by the San Diego-based company as a way to promote industry professionalism.

“We believe in embracing innovation and excellence,” the company said in a statement. “We’re hoping that the JDR Blogger Awards will bring additional recognition to the work of our favorite bloggers, while supporting our efforts to promote the professionalism of the remodeling industry and keep our clients informed about the latest trends in home design.

The Remodeling Facebook page, as well as senior editor Lauren Hunter’s Twitter feed were both nominated for Best Microblog, a new category recognizing the social media’s increased importance in the world of blogging and in the remodeling industry. Other categories include best blogs in architecture, construction business, remodeling, interior design, and green. Visitors to the JRD website can vote for one blog in each category (one vote per person, per category, please).

Voting for the JDR Blogger Awards will continue through April 12. Winners will be announced on April 17 and will receive a $500 prize and JDR Blogger Awards Winner badge for display on their blog. If either the Remodeling Facebook page or Lauren’s Twitter feed win for the microblog category, the award will be donated to remodeling industry organization.
