In its first foray into tool storage, Milwaukee has developed an impressive array of toolboxes, bags, and belts to equip your whole crew. Here's a look at what's new.
Jobsite Backpack. Whether you're hauling tools up a ladder, or just looking for a new way to stay geared-up, you'll want to check this out. Contractors will appreciate the hard plastic bottom that allows the bag to stand upright when it's set down, and keeps the base clean and dry. The bag is constructed of 1680D ballistic material for extreme durability, but features padded, breathable straps and a sternum buckle for comfort and ergonomics. As for capacity, the fold-down front pocket holds large items like drills and extension cords, while the large middle pocket has plenty of pockets and elastic straps to organize hand tools. The backpack also incorporates a padded compartment that can accommodate up to a 15.6-inch laptop or tablet.
Hard-sided 26- and 13-inch Work Boxes. A solid toolbox is a must-have for any contractor. The 26-inch Work Box was designed for durability and tested to withstand 1,000 drops with an overloaded weight. Features include buttressed hinges that are less susceptible to damage, and weather sealing to keep tools safe and dry. Corner pockets hep organize tools, and the lid features a handle design that folds over a cutting groove to help clamp down small material while cutting. The toolbox also has a little brother, the 13-inch Work Box (shown) designed with the same durability in mind, but in a size that allows the box to double as seating for repetitive work like wiring outlets. The 13-inch box also includes a vertical tool storage tray to help maximize space and access to tools.
Contractor Belt with Suspension Rig. This well-outfitted tool belt is equipped with a padded 4-point harness and includes all metal hardware, a padded belt, and integrated handles for carrying the bags when you’re not wearing them. There’s even a dedicated smart phone pocket.
Zipper Pouches. For a simple storage solution, check out the Zipper Pouch option. The heavy-duty canvas bags are water-resistant and feature a stand-up base for easy access. Use the reinforced loop to hang the pouch from a nail, work cart, or carabiner, or attach it to other bags. The red material is easy to see, and users can choose a red, white, or black strip and loop at the top.
