Superwinch, maker of truck winches, recently introduced a portable model called Winch2Go. It consists of a 4,000-pound winch attached to a thick metal base plate and housed within a plastic toolbox. The toolbox is there to hold the accessories necessary for winching: straps, D-rings, a shackle, and more. The winch can be run from a 12-volt power pack or a battery in or out of a vehicle. Winch2Go is designed to be carried to wherever the work needs to be done. It’s available with a steel cable or synthetic rope and retails for about $280. Click here for the website.
