then, and haven't since, but the thought is provocative. I
wonder if some of that same cynicism doesn't underlie the
"green" concept of manufacturing and marketing. A recent TV
ad shows an Energy Star-rated dishwasher grazing in a lush
field under a cloud-flecked blue sky. Using that dishwasher
