Moisture control and good prep work
are the keys
The key to a successful hardwood
flooring installation is knowledge of the
materials and how to apply them. But
it's not enough to simply understand
the mechanics of laying a floor. It is also
critical that the builder understand the
prep work required in the framing and
subfloor. Other than proper construction
techniques, the moisture content
(MC) of the subfloor components will
probably have more impact on the longterm
appearance of the flooring than
any other single factor.
