I was introduced to foam-core panels in 1982, when my small
crew started enclosing timber frames. Over the years we added a
second and third crew, and now we have an office, a sales staff
that keeps three road crews busy all over the country, and a shop
that does panel cutting and design. These days, we build quite a few
homes where structural insulated panels, or SIPs, make up the entire
structural assembly, with little, if any, other
framing. That's the kind of building this story
