In a perfect world, homeowners would leave the technical side of the business up to the remodeler. Among other things, that would mean trusting the pro to spec materials that he is confident are appropriate for the job. And that's usually how it works.

But every so often, owners want to use their own light fixtures, sinks, or other materials.
