However, a quick scan of the back cover gives a better inkling of what you'll find in the contents, which include soil engineering, site preparation, drainage, and "basic" foundation design for structural and "geotechnical" engineers. The author's tone is academic and scholarly, and I would think that technical readers or students would get the most out of this volume.
