Introducing the Winners of Architect's 2024 Residential Architect Design Awards

The 2024 Residential Architect Design Awards (RADA) have recognized 26 outstanding projects that exemplify excellence in residential architecture. The jury, comprised of Rene Gonzalez (Rene Gonzalez Architects, Miami), Ashley Heeren (Low Design Office, Austin, TX), and Roselie Enriquez Ledda (Paulett Taggart Architects, San Francisco), meticulously evaluated over 200 submissions, awarding 10 Honor Awards, 5 Merit Awards, and 5 Citations across multiple categories. These categories ranged from custom homes and multifamily housing to adaptive reuse projects and specialized housing—all demonstrating innovation in sustainability, craftsmanship, and design intent.

A special category focused on fireplaces, sponsored by Heat & Glo, recognized six additional projects for their thoughtful and artistic integration of fireplaces into architectural spaces. The fireplace jury included Matthew Bremer (Architecture in Formation, AIA New York), Paul Makovsky (Editor-in-Chief, ARCHITECT), and Michael Swanson (Hearth & Home Technologies).
