The Chicagoland Natural Gas Savings Program has announced the results of a consumer survey that sought to determine Chicagoans’ perceptions of energy efficiency, home improvement, and cost savings in order to discover what motivates homeowners to make their homes more energy efficient. However, the survey also revealed that the perceived higher cost of installing more energy-efficient equipment hinders consumers from making improvements to their homes. (Business Wire)
