For the first time in its 74-year history, the National Association of Home Builders has endorsed congressional candidates. The NAHB endorsed 137 U.S. House and Senate incumbents and candidates. NAHB chairman Ed Brady said the association picked these members because they have “demonstrated a commitment to make housing and homeownership a national priority.”
On its website, the NAHB elaborates:
Housing plays a critical role within our local, regional and national economies. To help ensure the housing and economic recovery maintains momentum, NAHB is officially endorsing congressional incumbents and candidates in the upcoming elections.
All of the men and women listed below have exhibited a commitment to advance policies that will support homeownership and rental housing opportunities for Americans.
It was just last week that the NAHB came out in favor of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s $25 billion housing plan, centered on making homeownership more accessible.
