This year's Remodeling Show in Las Vegas promises to deliver once again, featuring new elements along with the kind of top-notch programming for which the Show has become known. Many old favorites return this year revamped to suit a quickly changing marketplace.
For the third straight year, instead of a traditional keynote speaker, the general session provides an alternative forum: the Remodeling Show Town Hall Meeting. If you have ever wished you had access to a team of remodeling industry experts to answer your questions regarding industry best practices — whether it's sales and marketing strategies, growing your business, or increasing profitability — you'll find them at the Town Hall Meeting.
This year's meeting is moderated by Tom Swartz, of J.J. Swartz Co., Decatur, Ill.
ON THE SHOW FLOOR Back on the Show floor this year are some of the most popular features from past years, ssas well as some new additions.
- Tool Alley. New this year to the Remodeling Show exhibit floor is Tool Alley, where attendees can interact one-on-one with exhibitors displaying hand and power tools remodelers can use every day on the jobsite. This unique area is designed for interactivity in an exhibit setting.
- Master Series. Returning for the second year, the Master Series educational program gets bigger and brighter at the 2007 Show. Based on last year's great reviews, there will be five courses in this program beginning the day before the Show floor opens. Designed as a graduate program for advanced remodelers, courses range from two to four hours in length.
- Kitchen & Bath Showcase. Having debuted at the 2006 Remodeling Show in Chicago, the Kitchen & Bath Showcase is a pavilion on the Remodeling Show exhibit floor dedicated exclusively to the latest products and services for the kitchen and bath market. This year's Showcase features an expanded selection of installation and design clinics, offering practical knowledge to take back to the office and jobsite.
- Installation Clinics. Now a trademark of the Remodeling Show, these interactive sessions connect you with top industry specialists and give you an up-close look at the latest in tools, materials, and building techniques.
- Business Clinics. Also introduced in 2006, these clinics are condensed versions of the most popular and practical topics. Learn from industry experts what needs to happen behind the scenes to keep production — and your business — running smoothly.
- Job Board. If you need a specialty contractor for a remodeling job you just landed, or you want to expand your business by collaborating with a particular remodeling industry segment, the Show floor will also feature a job board where you can post descriptions of what you're looking for.
- Meet the Editors Lounge. If you're looking for industry insight, want to let the editors know about specific issues you'd like to see covered in the magazine, or think other remodelers may have something to learn from your best practices, take advantage of this unique opportunity to connect with the folks who create REMODELING magazine.
