Knipex expanded it Cobra Water Pump Pliers line with the addition of the Cobra Quick Set pliers. The tool features a 2-inch gripping capacity and a head with a serrated gripping surface.
A unique feature of the tool is its quick adjust mechanism, which makes it simple to adjust the head by pushing on the top handle of the tool instead of pressing the push button on the side of the pivot points (this is demonstrated in the video below at the 0:52 mark).
The 10-inch long pliers are built with a box-joint design that, according to Knipex, provides high stability thanks to the double guide. It is forged from high alloy German chrome vanadium steel with a nonslip textured coating on the handles. The serrated teeth are hardened to approximately 61 Rockwell hardness, which the manufacturer says enables low wear and provides a better grip. The tool also includes a guard that prevents your fingers and hands from being pinched.
According to the manufacturer, the tool can grip just about any shaped object—whether it's round, square, hex, or flat—and is self-locking with low hand force required for use.
