Tamko Building Products announced that it has donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross to assist with its Hurricane Harvey disaster relief efforts in Houston and the surrounding area. According to a press release, Tamko presented the funds at the Joplin, Mo., Red Cross office on September 6. In the past, Tamko has donated to the Red Cross to assist with disaster recovery from tornadoes that ravaged areas where Tamko operates, including a deadly EF-5 tornado in 2011 that struck the town of Joplin where Tamko is headquartered.

In the release, Tamko’s President and CEO David Humphreys says, “The devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey are heartbreaking. Tamko and its employees have witnessed first-hand what the American Red Cross can do to help in these types of disaster situations. We make this donation in the spirit of kindness that Houston and its neighbors so desperately need now.”
