The Federal Trade Commission has announced a change in the do-not-call rules. Starting Jan. 1, 2005, companies must purge their telemarketing databases of DNC-listed phone numbers every 31 days, as opposed to quarterly as originally proscribed. Take note that the provision is not “monthly,” which the FTC felt could open certain loopholes.
