While May is NADRA’s official Deck Safety Month, a series of recent deck collapses around the country—including one in Minnesota that injured a young girl—is a sober reminder that deck safety is a year-round issue. To promote safer decks, NADRA offers an easy-to-follow 10-point safety checklist for homeowners, a longer deck evaluation form (including an online version) and training for pros and home inspectors, and a new deck safety ambassador program. You can find all of these resources by going to the deck safety page on NADRA’s website.
