Half-Lap Detail for a Sag-Free Garden Gate

Chicago area carpenter Marlon Rodriguez (@carpentry_bymar) probably doesn’t build a lot of garden gates, but when he does, he has a quick and simple method for fitting a diagonal framing member that will keep the gate square and prevent it from sagging.
