The government's stimulus package, the American Recovery and Re-Investment Act of 2009, is aimed at stimulating the economy. Results aren't in yet, but in Maryland the package is stimulating building code enforcement. At least that's the word from the Baltimore Business Journal (" Maryland regulators want to revamp building codes to go after energy dollars," by Daniel J. Sernovitz). The Maryland building code and energy codes themselves, which are based on the International Residential Code and the International Energy Conservation Code, can be downloaded in PDF form (along with many other state building codes) from this site.
