When I have to remove old drywall, I like to do so “surgically.” Here, I remove full sheets of drywall from a master bath remodel without creating clouds of dust or buckets of crumbs. A sharp long-handled knife you may have never seen before, a special powerful magnet that’s simple but effective, a bit of “magnetic dirt,” and a sharp tip in a fast cordless drill allow professional extraction of drywall … a much more professional approach than beating holes into the wall and tearing the drywall off in fist-sized pieces!
