The Home Depot is doubling the payback terms on its private-label credit cards to 60 days and will expand its delivery services this spring. Other changes announced last month include an extension of the retail chain's return policy from 90 days to 365 days. In an interview with Remodeling magazine, J.T. Rieves, vice president of pro business for the retailer, said the new delivery initiative calls for expanded services in 800 of its stores by Memorial Day, and to additional stores by fall. Pros in Las Vegas, New Orleans, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Galveston, Texas, have been testing the service. A new delivery management system will make it possible for deliveries to go from the store closest to where the contractor is working, not necessarily from the customer's usual outlet.
