A three-week deck installation has turned into a year-long project with no end date in sight. According to a news story published by KMOV.com, homeowner Mona Van Vooren paid $45,000 last year to a St. Louis area Lowe’s to have it replace her old deck with a new two-level deck. But permit problems and ordering snafus have delayed completion of the project for more than a year. In a hopeful sign, the company told the news organization that it will have its compliance department look into why the project isn’t done.
